Steve Glaser works with individuals, families, and small businesses in all aspects of financial planning, specializing in life, disability, and long-term care insurance and annuities.

 

Originally from Boston, Steve received a BA degree in economics from Brandeis University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After launching his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co., Steve left public accounting for senior financial management. From 1999 to 2000, he was chief administrative officer for UCSF's neurodegenerative research laboratory under Dr. Stanley Prusiner, who won the Nobel Prize in medicine for his work on mad cow disease.

 

Steve and his wife, Deena, were the only non-scientists from the Prusiner Laboratory invited to the Stockholm ceremonies in recognition of Steve's significant contribution to the research's success.

 

Steve is a member of the San Leandro Chapter of Kiwanis and the San Leandro Breakfast Club. He conceived and spearheaded the recent installation of a butterfly garden in front of the butterfly mural on San Leander's gym wall along San Leandro Blvd. Steve lives in San Leandro's Assumption Parish district with Deena, two dogs, and one parrot.
